ABOUT
Founded in June 2020 by Sam Dawson, South Point Media is a business built on storytelling. Sam's early passion for filmmaking ignited in his hometown of Port Lincoln and flourished when he was chosen to represent Australia at the 2014 Giffoni Film Festival in Italy. This transformative experience solidified his dedication to cinema and media.
Sam's journey continued as he earned an Advanced Diploma in Screen and Media from MAPS Film School, specialising in the Camera Department and Minoring in Writing and Directing. His MAPS projects achieved recognition at the South Australian Screen Awards and Fleurieu Film Festival.
Venturing into the professional realm, Sam interned at Beyond Content while also contributing to feature films, shorts, and corporate projects. This time sharpened his abilities in rapid-paced, high-caliber shooting and refined his storytelling prowess—foundational to South Point Media's creation.
